"My children will not remember the words of wisdom I've passed along over the years, nor will yours remember the good advice you've given. However, etched in their minds and planted in their hearts is a permanent picture of who you are and how you've lived before them." - Dorothy Kelley Patterson, Parents in Ministry (co-written by Armour Patterson)

While the prevailing wisdom says that born-again Christians are just as likely as non-Christians to divorce, that may not give the whole picture. Sociologist Brad Wilcox says that when church attendance is taken into the discussion, it isn't even close. Churchgoers – whether they are evangelicals, mainline Christians, or Roman Catholics – are far more likely not to get divorced than those who don't attend church. - Source: Interview with Brad Wilcox in Christianity Today (October, 2006)

"Missions is not an action of a handful of global church advocates in a foreign land, but the loving drive of the God who is a missionary God reclaiming all of his creation from the inner cities to the suburbs to the ends of the earth." - Jimmy Dorrell, Trolls & Truth (New Hope Publishers, 2006)

When William Carey went to India, only 1 percent of all Protestants lived in Asia, Africa, and Latin America – combined. A hundred years later only 10 percent of Protestants lived in these lands. Despite the fact that the percentage of the world who call themselves Christians remained constant during the 20th century – around 33 percent – a whopping 67 percent of all Protestants now live in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. - Source: Timothy C. Clark, Preaching to a Shifting Culture (Baker, 2006)

A new survey by Rasmussen Reports shows that 69 percent of Americans prefer "Merry Christmas" to "Happy Holidays." - Source: The Washington Post
