by Rick Warren

Do your actions communicate your intent?
by Brian Harper

When it comes to ministering cross-culturally, our actions and intentions can be easily misunderstood. In this article, Brian Harper helps pastors understand how to effectively communicate the gospel to the different cultures in their community. [more]

The Secret Things of God: Unlocking the Treasures Reserved for you
Dr. Henry Cloud (Howard Books, 2007)

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne is a bestseller that has sold almost three million copies in less than a year. The popularity of her book, says psychologist and bestselling author Dr. Henry Cloud, lies in its claim to offer a sense of control over our seemingly chaotic world. Rather than pointing to one “secret” principle for a successful life, Dr. Cloud’s latest book offers an expanded biblical alternative to The Secret. Throughout its pages you’ll find 20 spiritual truths about God, life, and humanity that have revolutionized lives for centuries.

"What ultimately matters most will not be what others say about your life but what God says." - Rick Warren

"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." - Romans 12:2 (NLT)

Wilberforce Forum - Chuck Colson has been one of the most respected voices on biblical worldview over the past few years. The Wilberforce Forum, a division of Colson’s Prison Fellowship, has a goal of helping Christians develop a biblical worldview so that believers can then shape the culture from a biblical perspective. On the site you can find Colson’s Breakpoint materials, the Worldview Resource Center, and Justice Fellowship (which works to reform the prison system).
The Church Video License - You might not realize it, but you can’t legally show movie clips in your sermons without purchasing a license. The Church Video License works much like popular music licensing programs that many churches have. Cost is based on church size.
Outreach opportunities in public schools - Are you taking advantage of one of the largest mission fields in your community – public schools? “Armadillo Jim” Schmidt has a few ideas to get you started.
Purpose Driven Church Planting conferences - Learn to launch a purpose driven church using the crowd-to-core model. Conferences coming to Austin, Texas; Ocala, Fla.; and Phoenix, Ariz.

A prime mark of the Christian mind is that it cultivates the eternal perspective. That is to say, it looks beyond this life to another one. It is supernaturally orientated, and brings to bear upon earthly considerations the fact of heaven and the fact of hell. - Harry Blamires

Our theological systems are not infallible, our God’s propositional revelation is. - Carl F. H. Henry

Communication. It's the first thing we really learn in life. Funny thing is, once we grow up, learn our words, and really start talking, the harder it becomes to know what to say. Or how to ask for what we really need. - Dr. Meredith Grey, ^z1Grey’s Anatomy^z1

It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult. - Seneca
