Just Courage: God's Great Expedition for the Restless Christian
Gary A. Haugen (InterVarsity, 2008)

Gary Haugen suggests that God is calling believers into something more than the safe and comfortable lives most of us live. We can find that “something more” in the global fight for justice. Haugen presents us with an evangelical vision for justice issues that includes practical suggestions for choosing the courageous life that God has called us to embark on. It’s full of great quotes and illustrations you can use to motivate your congregation to live a more full Christian life, particularly one that includes fighting for justice for the weak and forgotten of the world.

"You need to get a spiritual coach. Call them a friend, a partner, a mentor, a discipler, a Timothy or Paul – or whatever. It doesn’t matter what you call them. Just get a friend who says, ‘I’m going to hold you accountable, you’re going to hold me accountable, and we’re going to help each other grow.’" - Rick Warren

"Moses listened to his father-in-law’s advice and followed his suggestions. He chose capable men from all over Israel and appointed them as leaders over the people. He put them in charge of groups of one thousand, one hundred, fifty, and ten. These men were always available to solve the people’s common disputes. They brought the major cases to Moses, but they took care of the smaller matters themselves." - Exodus 18:24-26 (NLT)
